The Dreamer  is a video installation, part of the opera - cabaret show Stop All the Clocks at The Copeland Gallery, Peckham, London, organised by Shadow Opera.

Experimentation with directing an opera performer as an actress, as well as set building and decoration in German Expressionist style.

There was only one way out from the dark alleys of Nazi Germany – going to the Dreamland of red velvet cabarets, where oppressed desires and uncontrolled sexual fantasies came to life. The Dreamer takes us to an unforgettably humorous journey with him, from meeting with the fabulous Gigerlette to the haven with thousands of women, all at his disposal. Will the Dreamer be forced to wake up by the ticking clock of the harsh reality, or will he remain in the dreamland of endless pleasures?
Gigerlette and Aries aus dem Spiegel von arcadien (seit ich so viele), part of Schoenberg's Brettl- Lieder repertoire, come back to life with this seemingly light-hearted film adaptation, which gives a different angle to understanding the dark times of psychological and sexual oppression during the Nazi dictatorship, with a lush expressionist twist.
